Don’t Hide it, Revive it

When you look at family photos, there is usually at least one person that always has a closed-mouth smile or is hiding their mouth with a glass, napkin, or their hand. Is that person you?

Studies have shown when you meet someone for the first time, your smile is often one of the first things they will notice about you and they may often judge you based on your smile. Unfair? Yes, but it is a reality. Ask yourself, “How often do I flash a full-mouth smile”? If the answer is rarely to never, it may be time to stop hiding that smile and instead revive it.

A Wide Range of Cosmetic Solutions

Dr. Wendy Rose-Hyatt and her talented staff at Rosedale Dental have seen it all. From discolored teeth and teeth that are too close together or too far apart, to cracked, chipped, and worn down teeth, Dr. Rose-Hyatt has the cosmetic dentistry solution:

  • Porcelain veneers
  • Composite bonding
  • Tooth recontouring
  • Full-mouth restoration
  • Smile whitening

If you are unhappy with your smile, give Rosedale Dental a call. With her cosmetic dentistry solutions, Dr. Rose-Hyatt and Dr. Parakhoodi can fix chips and gaps, crowding and cracks, replace missing teeth, cover or remove stains, and straighten crooked teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth can get stained for a variety of reasons. From coffee and tea to other acidic foods and beverages. As we age, teeth can be especially vulnerable to yellowing and staining. This is even more likely if you use tobacco products. These harmful substances can actually wear away at your tooth’s enamel. We offer a few different teeth whitening solutions. Our in-office system is Zoom! whitening. A hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to teeth and an special lamp delivers UV light to the area, breaking down gel allowing the solution and oxygen to penetrate the enamel and bleaching the stains away. We also offer take-home whitening solutions which include mouth trays with Zoom! Day White and Night White whitening gel. A second take-home solution is Crest white strips.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are an excellent way to create bright, white smiles. In addition to the aesthetic value they provide, they also protect the surface of damaged teeth and can help prevent the need for more extensive treatments. A dental veneer is basically a shell, or a layer of tooth-colored porcelain that is placed over the prepared face of your tooth to cover your existing tooth structure. The benefits include an improved smile and enhanced tooth durability. Veneers feel just like your natural teeth, helping ensure you will enjoy your bright, white smile for many years to come.

Full-Mouth Restoration

If you have missing teeth, cracked or broken teeth, or badly worn teeth due to bruxism (tooth grinding) or even acid reflux, you may be a candidate for a full-mouth restoration. The process includes rebuilding, restoring, and/or replacing all your teeth which may include using a combination of treatments to bring your mouth back to its former self. The final result will improve your health, function, and beauty of your smile.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding involves shaping and molding a composite resin on your teeth to give you the appearance of a straighter, whiter smile. It can be a solution for chipped or gapped teeth as well as staining. Composite dental bonding can typically be done during a single appointment. Bonding is for those patients who have otherwise healthy teeth, but are seeking a cosmetic solution to some minor aesthetic abnormalities.

Tooth Recontouring

Tooth recontouring is a cost-effective option for anyone who feels that their smile line a bit too uneven. It involves removing small amounts of tooth enamel to even out edges or smooth away other surface irregularities, and it will change the length or shape of that tooth. The result is improved overall appearance and balance in your smile! Tooth recontouring can help if you have a chipped tooth, a tooth with an irregular shape, or slightly overlapping teeth and can usually be done in a single visit.
